SDiMS Festivals are in the curriculum of mass communication courses at SDiMS. Students & faculty organise the non-profit festivals as part of their field training and to learn about world cinema & culture. The films selected are suitable for all audiences above 18 years of age and passes are issued free of charge to the public on first-come-first-served basis. SDiMS is fully supported by the consulates, film makers & film centers of the countries from which films are selected for the film festivals. SDiMS requires your support to ensure that students and the interested audiences in Mumbai can benefit from such non-profit festivals. Enoma International Film Festival(EIFF) for feature films is from 28th to 30th June in Mumbai. Feature films must be films more than 30 minutes in duration and shot on 35mm or 16mm or Super 8mm or HDV to qualify for screenings at Enoma International Film Festivals in Asia. The best feature films get prizes of Rs.10000, Rs.5000 & Rs.2000 respectively. We also award prizes for best director, best cinematography, best music score, best production value, best script, best actor, best actress, etc. Workshops, parties & conferences with film makers makes this festival a truly fun-filled international event. There are over 1500 delegates expected this year.
We are ranked in the top 5 for "international film festivals in Asia" by Google. This proves the high standards of the screened films, jury quality, festival atmosphere, international films, film makers in attendance, etc. The biggest strength of Enoma is that we screen mainly films produced in the last 3 years and not older films. This year we are screening over 60 films from over 20 countries. A true delight for any world cinema lover. Passes are available from 1st October and will be going quickly.....
Enoma is a Non-Profit festival funded by SDiMS. Pumelo International Film Festival is from 28th to 30th June 2008 in Mumbai, India. We have a competition for best film based on audience choice & we award prizes for best director, best cinematography, best music, best short, best script, best actor, best actress, etc. The films screened at Pumelo International Film Festivals in Asia are selected by a jury comprising of Savio DSilva & Savio DSilva. All prize winners are sent Pumelo Awards.
Yensa International Short Film Festival(YSFF) is from 28th to 30th June 2008 at SDiMS and other venues in Mumbai. We are now accepting film entries for Yensa. Short films must be quality films less than 20 minutes in duration to qualify for screenings at our international short film festivals. The best 3 short films get prizes of Rs.5000, Rs.3000 & Rs.1000 respectively. There are also awards for best script, best actor, best actress, best director, best idea, best editing, best music, best cinematography, audience choice, best animation film, best entertainment value, best production value, jury choice, etc. We have already recieved dozens of quality short films and will be screening over 150 quality short films during Yensa 2008.

The Festivals are committed to involving and helping our community. We plan to work with several local groups that help people with various life difficulties, providing free festival passes for these individuals.
With our staff, our volunteers, our sponsors and donors we are poised to bring you glorious days of the finest variety of cinema anywhere. Come and interact with our film loving audience and watch some amazing films.
The film festivals will continue to provide an exposition of the many approaches to cinema from around the world while simultaneously offering practical workshops, seminars and lectures by regional and asian filmmakers in order to stimulate ideas as well as gather the technical skills to execute them here in Bombay or Mumbai.
The festivals will continue its special focus on independent cinema which is so rarely seen in Asia or India. By creating regional programmes and by continuing to create a network of individuals and organizations the festival hopes to become a platform to inspire a feature film culture in Mumbai and rest of Asia.
Bollywood & Hindi Films continue to dominate the film circuit in Mumbai & many parts of India but the time has come for a great change in awareness & improvement in the mindsets of the movie watchers. The youth & many other citizens are demanding a more fruitful cinema watching experience. That's where the Independent Film Festivals organised by Isavo come in.
